about.

Marta Margrét is an Icelandic fine art photographer based in Belgium. Her work explores how form shifts across contexts - between architecture, landscape, and organic matter - where structures persist, dissolve, and reappear in new configurations.

Drawing on her Nordic background, her images are shaped by the stark clarity of Arctic landscapes, while also reflecting the layered spatial and cultural complexity of continental Europe.

Her practice moves across skeletal flowers, architectural forms, and natural environments, using repetition and minimal composition to examine perception as something unstable; shaped by time, memory, and environment.

In a visually saturated world, her work creates spaces of quiet attention, where small shifts in form and context give rise to new associations and meanings.

Her work has received international recognition, including honours from the Prix de la Photographie Paris (PX3) and the Minimalist Photography Awards, and has been exhibited across Europe and the United States.
